The JOY Living Communities concept is a new paradigm in affordable housing with optimal services for active adult accommodation, low income seniors 55 years and up, and Boomers on the current shameful waiting lists of 5 to 10 years for affordable accommodation. AFFORDABLE HOUSING
The Government of Canada and Canadian Developers are working to ensure that every Canadian has a safe and affordable place to call home. The initiative will also help support Canada's economic recovery by creating employment in the housing and construction sectors. A team of For A Better Canada Leaders are working together in a collaborative approach for affordable housing.
HOMELESSNESS
The issue of homelessness is complex and requires strategic partnership with agencies, private, public, and not-for-profit sectors. Charitable organizations are working with the homeless to provide safe shelters and to prevent homelessness. Plans to provide appropriate, and affordable housing are being executed across Canada. We see housing as a human right for all people living in Canada and with the support from all orders of government, professionals, developers, funders and strategic partners, we will collectively work towards the prevention of homelessness as a major concern of Canadians.
